A bit about me
Hi there, my name is Coco. I am a practicum art therapist from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. I hope to work alongside you to help you cultivate self-worth and believe in your own healing power to attend to your inner wounds.
What is it like working with me?
By introducing somatic exercises to promote emotional healing. Applying creative prompts and art exercises to tap into your creativity and the unconscious. Bringing in mindfulness practices and journaling to guide you in expressing your experiences, memories, and feelings.
I work from a trauma-informed, and client-centred approach. I’m always finding ways to encourage my clients to reflect and become aware of their mind-body connection, tune into their heart space, and contemplate their identity and relationships with themselves, with others and their environment.
How can I help?
Both yoga practice and mindful art making have the potential to process trauma while recognizing your felt sense (physical bodily awareness), which aren’t always easy to articulate or put into words. I facilitate art workshops in the hopes of inspiring others to become the most authentic version of themselves, to start their healing journey, and to live their lives with creativity and mindfulness.
I am centered by…
Awareness, compassion, curiosity, meaning, and potential. Softness, learning and reading about spirituality. Morning stillness and movement ritual keeps me grounded and supported.
Coco is accepting new clients for lower cost Art Therapy offerings until Jan 2025!
