This is what narrative therapy can look like when you work with us:

You will learn to access the core concern by externalizing the problem—the person (you) is (are) not the problem, the problem is the problem.

You will get to:
• define your experiences and problems in your own words and terms.
• be understood in the context of what you have been through and in the context of your relationships with others.
• invite others who are important to you to be involved in the process of reclaiming your life from the effects of trauma.

We may build metaphors to better understand your stories and express in creative ways to access parts of yourself that needs to be heard and validated. We may be questioning and decolonizing the concerns you bring into therapy such as relearning what we think we know, learning to honour your hardships, and “planting seeds for growth” in the future.

Your responses to trauma will be acknowledged in therapy. Everyone has the right to be free from problems caused by trauma and injustice. We are here to help you see that and help you get there!
