We are hiring for a Clinical Counsellor / Art Therapist to join Decipher

Who we are looking for:

  • Registration with at least one or the following association(s): RCC, CCC, RSW, ATR, BCATR, or RCAT

  • QTBIPOC and new/emerging therapists are welcome here!

  • Certifications in Art Therapy, training in EMDR, DBT, SE, IFS, Hypnotherapy etc. is a plus!

  • Works from a creative, decolonizing, intersectional and holistic lens towards healing is highly preferred!

  • Soft skills we look for: can work independently, takes initiative, receives feedback, ambitious to grow as a counsellor, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, providing timely services to each client, responsive to emails, good fit for the team culture

  • Strong relational and cultural awareness: practices cultural competence and humility

  • Willingness to do an evening or weekend shift per week: till 7pm

  • Able to work from home (online) and/or one day in-person

  • Clinical consultation/supervision from a counsellor and art therapist supervisor on a regular basis

  • Monthly group supervision to support your caseload

  • Competitive compensation: 60% contractor / 40% to clinic, with 5% increases upon meeting agreed-upon performance targets

  • Scheduling and intake management from our booking system

  • Administrative support from team admin

  • Well-matched referrals: we provide aligned referrals to build steadiness for the practice

  • In-person opportunity to work from our studios: we have two rooms in 402 West Pender St.

  • Online booking system: work from home or anywhere. Freedom to create your own schedule.

  • Opportunity to develop creative workshops, groups, and content

  • Marketing materials: professional headshots, business cards and featured on the website and social media
